THE IDHTBH POETIC MANIFESTO

I

It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard

To give and receive pleasure

To show desire

To have a great time alone or with others

It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard

To talk openly and vulnerably with partners about intimacy

To expand ideas of what “sex” can be

To recognize you don’t know what to do

To explore and learn what you like, are capable of, and what doesn’t do it for you

To “Be a Man”

It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard

To understand the cues the body is trying to tell you

To pay attention to changes in function or sensation without fear, anxiety or avoidance

To seek information that fills the gaps in sex education

To make lifestyle changes that promote a happy healthy system

To beat the odds or change direction

It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard

To innovate new ideas

To discuss alternative approaches to sexual wellness

To choose pleasure as a path for “well-being”

To debunk old myths and cultural messages about what sex is supposed to be

It Doesn’t Have to be Hard

To find adult entertainment that shows all types of bodies

To indulge in erotica that de-emphasizes erections

To find expressions of sexuality and sensuality however the body shows up

It Doesn’t Have to be Hard

To listen to your body

Quiet your over-active critical mind

Celebrate what IS working

Love and appreciate that we’re here
